Can someone please explain this college stuff to me?

im 16 years old and when i start college i think i want to be a certified dental assistant





this college has dental assisting and im alittle confused





do i have to take 2 years of college THEN start the dental assisting program??





and do i have to take all the "occupational courses" on that list?

some of your credits may transfer from high school and some of the classes like math reading and english you may be able to test out of. this is a great career choice girl. you will make a lot of money doing something you really enjoy. talk to the advisor at the school and see which of your credits transfer and which classes you should take to get out of taking them in college have your high school counselor talk to the advisor at the college and together they can work out a plan for you.
Reply:Just contact the college and ask your questions. They will give you the name of the department head in that program to contact. They will be thrilled that you are interested in them and impressed that you are mature enough to already be looking at colleges.
Reply:From the link you provided, it looks like you must take 13 hours of General Core classes and 78 hours of Occupational Courses. That equals 91 hours required to graduate.


So, YES, you have to take all the courses on the list.
