Does anyone know what classes i have to take befor enrolling in the dental assisting program?
According to www.danb.org (Dental Assisting National Board site), you need to hold a Radiologic Proficiency Certificate in order to take xrays in Arizona, and pass the DANB RHS (Radiation Health and Safety) exam as well.
Call the college you're planning on attending, and see what pre-requisites you need...

Reply:Here in my town, you do not have to take any classes before enrolling....you do on the other hand have to vounteer in a dentist office....so many hours. You can take dental assitant classes at the local highschool's adult education for very cheap instead of going to one of the colleges who give a certificate. You can get the same certificate alot faster and alot cheaper. Good luck!
