Heather~ Could you give more info?
Breaking confidentiality is unethical, but I don't know what kind of info you're looking for...
You could check out the DANB site, the ADAA site or your state Dental Association...
Good luck with whatever is the basis for your question!
:)
I am trying to find any articles with breaks in confidentiality in dental assisting?
I don't have any articles....but as an experienced Dental Assistant if you could give me more info I am sure I could help you out. : )
Reply:look up HEPA laws enforcement
Dental ethics,DANB newsletter search,Chairside Publication,
seachComda regulations.
Dental office confidentiality is a measurment of your proffesinal and ethical practices.
A Dental Asst. can be open to alot of items that should be without a question keep without
disclosure.
A DA must relize they are a part of a field that must preform and maintain higher ethics and standards.
You have only one focus the patient treatment, facts
repeating, information disclosure and gossip are in no way related to or benificial to the treatment.
Hear by accident, forget on purpose and discuss
the weather the news the sale at Macys or the cost of gas.
A dental staff that has big mouths will find they need more
cleaning than there patients.
PS. everything you say or repeat
follows you, small world in dentistry and do not think you wont see someone again
