How is a day of Dental Assisting?

Is it really that stressful? What if you work in a small office with only one Dentist?

How is a day of Dental Assisting?
I am the assistant for an excellent endodontist. In our office there is just the receptionist,the doctor and me. We have a blast every single day we work. He is just the greatest dentist to work for. Our patients always joke around saying they feel they should pay for the entertainment when they leave. We really have alot of fun. It also depends on the patient,but for the most part,we have a great time with each patient. Believe it or not,some say they haven't had this much fun all year. I really feel blessed that I have found such a great job and a wonderful man to work for.
Reply:as a former dental assistant, i can tell you that it is not that stressful after you learn how to mix cements and learn where everything is and what you need to set out for certain procedures, i really enjoyed it and learned a lot, you need to be able to deal with blood though because almost every procedure deals with blood
Reply:we have a blast in my office. we help people get out of pain and we also prevent future problems. we listen to loud music and cut up nonstop. it's actually a pretty cool job for someone who didn't go to college.
Reply:I never been a dental assist, but I have been to a dentist about 10 times in four months and they seem pretty busy. Never stopped.

they have a power to make your day easy or unbearable or to deal with uncooperative employee.


specially if it is a solo practice, than you stuck. At least with multipal doctors you can move from one to another and you have more people to deflect
