I am thinking of moving to Texas. I have a dental radiography license through the state of Michigan.
I am wondering if this transfers to Texas or will I have to go through the process all over again. Any help or dental assisting knowledge of Texas is appreciated!

Contact the state board of dental examiners in Texas to determine what you need to work in that state. Some states have a reciprocity agreement, some states do not have any requirements. You can also check out the DANB website (www.DANB.org). They have some info posted there as well. Many states accept the DANB RHS certificate if that was what you had to take to obtain your Michigan License. You can also contact the American Dental Assistants Association in Chicago (www.dentalassistant.org). They can put you in touch with the Texas Dental Assistants Association who can help you with anything Dental Assisting related to Texas.
