Can I work as a dental assistant at 16?

I have my highschool diploma, and I'll be going to a dental assisting training center for 3 months, and earn my dental assisting certificate. It's state certified. I aleady checked. by the way, I live in Seattle Washington if that helps.

Can I work as a dental assistant at 16?
Seriously- you would need to check with your states licensing board. In my area, they will run a background check- if you are under 18, nothing would come up.

If your looking to get a state license there might be an age requirement. This is not the same as being certified. The certification step means that you are allowed to apply for state licensing (if your state requires it).

Good Luck. Hope this helps.
Reply:of course you can. don't forget to wear skimpy outfits.
Reply:not to be rude but not on my teeth you cant. i would not go to a dentist that hired children as his assistant. i do not care if you have your diploma or not. at 16 i would not care if you already had you dental assisting certificate. i do not want a 16 year old working on me teeth.
