What is better in the long run? - Medical Billing or Dental Assisting?
Medical Billing will be your best bet because of the health care system you will be able to make alot more money and you can give yourself a raise anytime by taking on more clients. I also think you will be able to work at home after some experience has been added to your resume.
Reply:Better in what way? Both have opportunities for growth, but more probably with dental assisting. Do you like to work with people or do you like to work on your own? They are very different working environments. I dont know how much dental assistants earn but I think it is similar.
Reply:Medical Billing is a better recognised job than Dental assisting. Usually Asssiting works are not secure or do not have job security. So make your go for Medical Billing

Reply:I would say Medical Billing, it gives you experience in the medical office field. It can open doors for improvement and advancement such as possibly Medical Management or a Coordinator if you put in the correct amount of effort. I think Dental Assisting only limits you to one specific area unless your going to further your career in the dental field. The only other to options in the dental field is Dental Hygiene or a Dentist.
