Is there a website that goes over dental charting in depth?

I am currently in school for dental assisting and we are now going over charting. I think charting is very confusing and I would like to know if there are any websites that go over charting in depth....yeah, i do have a book but I dont like the book. I need something that is a little more plainly spoken and easier to learn....any info would be greatly appreciated:)

All dental charts are done differently, so there isn't a specific way to do it. Try googleing it.
Reply:The 'basic' charting is similar, like charting cavities/fillings (MOD, DO, MO, O, MI, F, OB etc..). You may find a difference with the way missing teeth, extractions and prosthetics, etc.. are charted.

Why isn't your instructor helping you out more? She/he should be going over this until all of you understand it, and not just a few of you.

To even begin to understand charting, you need to make sure you know where your surfaces are on the chart. If you don't, or are unsure, any advice you get on here won't help.

Email me if you have additional questions... I'd be happy to help!
