Is dental assisting a good career?

Hi angelm!!!





It is a good career, but being a dentist and having an assistantt is better!!!





Why settle for less if you can have, the best??? If you like the line of work, just go for it, from the start. Or be a dental assistan while becoming a Dentist yourself!!!





Look at it this way, as an assistant , you would always need to follow directions, for less amount of money!!!





As a Dentist or Orthodontists, you give the directions to follow, and make a lot of money, own your Dental office, and have people working FOR YOU!!!





Any decent career is a good career, if you like what you do, and respect it!!!

yes it is a good choice career =there is always a need for dental assistants
Reply:yes. if you are interested go to a local community college that has DA as a career option and sign up asap. Or apply to any local dentist willing to train you (some will train while you work for DA). Later if you really love working in a dental office you can advance yourself by going back to college to become a dental hygienist (kinda like becoming a nurse, but only concentrate on teeth).
Reply:Yes, it's a good career.....if you want low wages. Choose a career in health that is more lucrative. Dental assistanting is fine if you have a husband to pay your bills or you want to live in somebody's basement or just rent a room. If you want to own your own home, you will never accomplish that on dental assistant wages.
